Dialectical Behavior Therapy (DBT) Distress Tolerance Group

So often in life, we are faced with overwhelming events that are outside of our control. Whether it’s the loss of a loved one, an unexpected illness/injury, or an inevitable life transition, it’s easy to feel at a loss of what comes next and you may be left wondering how you’re going to get through this.

In this 8-week group, we are going to give you the skills you need to feel more empowered and in control of your life moving forward. In this group, you will learn:

  • How to self-soothe using your five senses
  • Simple, short-term activities to relieve stress temporarily when you’re feeling overwhelmed
  • How to take steps towards acceptance of a challenging situation in your life

Beyond just learning skills, there’s so much more that you can get out of a group experience. By joining this group, you will also get:

  • A binder of materials that is yours to keep after the group is completed
  • Support from other group participants
  • A small, intimate setting with two group leaders (we limit our groups to no more than 8 participants so you can receive individualized attention)
